Announcing: THE Z-TEAM ARE NEW PARENTS AGAIN!
No, not the two legged kind more like the 4 wheeled variety. Yep we have a story to tell
and this is how it goes...:)
Somewhere around 1982 or so Fast Eddie Egan and his beloved bride Super Max were standing
in line at the bank. The woman in front of them turned around suddenly and out of the blue
asked them "would you be interested in buying my old car?". Well, the usual questions went
back and forth between them and before they knew it they were in the woman's garage gazing
at a 1967 XR7 Mercury Cougar. It was is "rough" shape as they say. And it was even
doubtful they could drive it home but the Fast Guy said,
"the minute I put my hand on her hood...
it was love".
Over the years and whenever there was a little cash left over from that months paycheck,
pieces and parts were purchased and installed. After a number of years in in their garage,
Fast Eddie took her to her first show and won an event! Ok... now they were hooked and they
joined the Sunshine Cougar Club of Florida. Over the next 26 or more years they enjoyed the
company of the club and the fun of showing The Fast Guys Cougar. 
Fast forwarding to November 2010. We received a phone call from Mom and Dad saying that
"of late the Cougar has been parked more than driven or shown...and we needed to hightail it to
Florida and take her home with us."
This was a bitter sweet decision but the Cougar now wears Z-Team 1 Arkansas plates. We plan
on sharing more of her story as we continue the showing of our 1967 XR7 Cougar. We have just joined www.classicchevyclubofnoar.com our local classic car club that welcomes any make and
model, not just Chevy's.
